Global Warming Myth

Global Warming Myth
By Erick San Juan

"Truth shall set us free!", but if this so-called “truth” by the climate change alarmists is being supported by lies and not based on real scientific studies, it will become gospel truth through repetition alone. This is where the corporate media comes in, constantly bombarding the public with lies, thus creating fear and panic. We can’t blame those who are truly misguided and not seeking for truth, just being contented with what the media feeds them everyday.
That is why we are trying our very best through print and broadcast media to propagate the other side of what the alarmists are saying as “truth”.
The recently concluded Climate Change Summit in Denmark, for some was a failure; it did not end with the goal of reaching a consensus for countries to pay for the so-called carbon credits by setting up an international body to do this job. US President Barack Obama proposed instead a multilateral body and countries will monitor their own carbon emission and submit to the United Nations. Rich countries will fund this body and developing nations can avail this “fund” to help curb carbon emissions.
This sounds good but the problem is that the same financial and lending institutions will handle this so-called fund – like the IMF and the World Bank. This is what I called poor countries taken on a roller coaster ride by the financial oligarchs a.k.a. globalists.
But what was the basis of all this “chubibo” or merry-go-round where all poor citizens of this planet are like a herd of cattle being taken to the slaughter house? At this point, I highly recommend the video of Mr. John Coleman, a scientist-prolific writer, entitled John Coleman Slams Global Warming that can be viewed on 'you tube' about how the climate change/global warming is being hyped and sensationalized by the corporate media to achieve a world government by the same elite group of globalists (and what others call reptilians). Mr. Coleman also exposed what IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is all about – a group of mostly “political scientists” rather than real scientists and how they manipulated the data to justify that the world should be concern of the existence of a man made global warming.
Actually, if we will analyze the true data since the beginning of science way back some hundreds of years ago, there is nothing wrong with our climate for the climate is always changing. Climate fluctuations from cold to hot weathers are all normal. Our planet has survived these billions of years ago until this time. The hype that Al Gore produced in his video is actually based on lies and manufactured data. I agree with Mr. Coleman that everything will be fine from now until after twenty years and beyond that no warming will affect dramatically the earth’s population like the melting icebergs and ice caps.
Sadly, the massaged data being propagated by the likes of Al Gore and so-called 'environmentalists' put so much emphasis on global warming which is for me is a total myth. Like blaming the hurricane Katrina for death of hundreds of people of New Orleans to global warming was really an offense to the intellect of us who understands the real situation. Like what Mr. Coleman cited, that the casualties of the hurricane Katrina must be blamed to the government for building poor or inferior dikes and pumps that were not properly built in a city below sea level that gave way during the pouring of massive rains brought by Katrina. It reminds me of the same predicament in some major cities in Metro Manila when Ondoy came with its massive rains that brought a lot of flooded areas because of human error particularly the politicians who were supposed to earn big bucks out of privatizing dams. Floods remained on the streets even after Ondoy left because of the clogged waterways and the poor management of the Laguna Lake by local officials. As I have said in my previous articles, most of the disasters are made by man driven by greed and selfishness.
Like the Copenhagen Summit, world leaders discussed how to combat global warming in the middle of a cold winter in that region where participants were freezing. How could there’ll be a global warming when China and South America just went through with the worst winter in fifty years like in the US . Alaska also experienced their worst cold spell in two decades. That is why some Russian and Canadian scientists are actually predicting a little ice age coming.
Amidst all these, we read in the papers that our local politicians and 2010 hopefools are riding the global warming bandwagon and actually suggesting that we avail the “fund” for the carbon credits fiasco. Have we not learned our lessons of the recent H1N1 lies and we have noticed that in this cold season of the year, big pharma riding the swine flu hype were very quiet.
Lest we forget that we are given intelligence by the Almighty to be vigilant and analytical, we will always be taken for a ride by the local and global oligarchs who are actually herding us towards a one world government.
Happy New Year to all.....

When the Tail is Smarter Than the Dog

When the Tail is Smarter Than the Dog
By Erick San Juan

"A rapid series of criminal events in a short period of time looks very much like a conspiracy”.

This is a part of that press statement released last December 11 of what appears to be a “sharp” observation of Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago last Friday after a series of “crimes” occurred in Mindanao before the impending lifting of Martial Law or Presidential Proclamation 1959 in Maguindanao. Senator Santiago enumerated the following - abduction of 75 people in Agusan del Sur, beheading of a kidnap victim in Basilan, kidnapping of a Basilan college vice-president, and abduction of a military and police convoy in Ampatuan town, are reasons enough that one may lead to the idea that there’s a hidden hand orchestrating these events.

My last week’s article clearly stated that these scenarios were being orchestrated by a few people who are close to Mrs. Arroyo and could be playing as 'angels and demons' that might lead to Mrs. Arroyo’s downfall if she will allow these to continue. There's also a possible clash among these same 'people'. when they themselves could no longer handle the situation and may lead to their own destruction.

Sen. Santiago also named CIA, in collaboration with the military here with the possible support of the Secretaries of Defense and of the DILG as head of the Philippine National Police as conspirators that could allegedly benefit from martial rule.

As of this writing, martial law was lifted but the state of emergency is still in place in the provinces of Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat and the City of Cotabato .

The ‘plan’ may be delayed but as I read the recent event of the 31 prisoners who escaped from the provincial jail that were said to be members of the Abu Sayyaf Group and some MILF, the AGENDA is still ON. As my title put it, “Why does a dog wag it's tail? Because a dog is smarter than it's tail. What if the tail is smarter than the dog, that could be wagging the dog. "The tail wagging the dog" is an expression referring to a situation in which something of greater significance is being driven by something lesser. And the fact that “tail” is part of the “dog” – sadly, that future bleak scenario will occur within the government unless the President will do something to put an end to this. This is also the prognosis of some of our colleagues like Gemma Cruz Araneta and Erik Espina of the Manila Bulletin.

Lastly, the ball now is with the Supreme Court to hear the petitions regarding the constitutionality of the Martial Law imposition. I would like to share here what the former Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban wrote: “They are playing with fire, and unless prudently restrained, they may one day wittingly or unwittingly burn down the country. History will never forget, much less forgive, this Court if it allows such misadventure and refuses to strike down abuse at its inception. Worse, our people will surely condemn the misuse of legal 'hocus pocus' (like the moot and academic theory) to justify this trifling with constitutional sanctities.”
Again, my fervent appeal for vigilance and a lot of prayers for our country this holiday season and through the coming year!
Merry Christmas and God bless the Philippines!

Lapse in Governance and Accountability!

Lapse in Governance and Accountability!
By Erick San Juan

As I write this piece, the joint congressional operation with all the antics of who’s who when it comes to expertise in analyzing the constitutionality of the imposition of martial law by the President and the grandstanding of some hopefuls for next year’s election is still heating up on the floors of the House of Representatives.
Not only in the halls of congress that “experts” are trying to find answers to the legality of the martial law imposition but all of us are experiencing so many “examinations” by so called political analysts appearing in the media to share their expertise in the subject matter since the day of the massacre.
The panel from the executive branch was bombarded by questions sans the secretary who should be around when we needed vital answers on why they said massacre was not prevented. Which reminds us of how the Vice-Governor of North Cotabato, Manny Piñol (one of the most respected and reliable officials when it comes to Mindanao situation) warned the government of an impending clash between the Ampatuans and the Mangudadatus in relation to next year’s election. The warning was given by the Vice-Governor in August 28, 2009 when the Senate Committee on National Defense and Security and the Committee on Peace, Unification and Reconciliation conducted a joint public hearing on the peace process in Zamboanga City. But did anybody pay attention, especially the concerned departments of the government? Our country could have prevented the sacrifice of precious lives and the shame that reflected to the world community of our country as the most dangerous place for journalists!
And, why only now that government officials are on their feet conducting investigation on the kind of lifestyle the Ampatuans have for the past two decades in the country’s second poorest province? Its obvious that there’s a lapse in responsibility here by people who supposed to be doing their job. But what if the said clan is one of the favored few by the administration?
Or everything was part of a bigger scenario scripted by a certified megalomaniac? For whatever reason this may be, the effects were spreading like a forest fire. As what our friend, Billy Esposo, wrote in his column, As I Wreck This Chair – “Glaringly, the US, which supported Marcos martial law, did not condemn GMA’s Proclamation 1959. Yet, when GMA issued Proclamation 1017 (imposing a state of emergency) on February 24, 2006 – the US immediately asked her to recall it and she complied. US Ambassador Kristie Kenney could only say that the US will watch this situation very carefully. That implies US acceptance albeit with reservations. One wonders if the US is a partner in this plot owing to its Mindanao agenda.”
The “agenda” is a continuing process for the 'scriptwriters' for quite some time now until they achieve their goal – balkanization of Mindanao for all the riches it holds.
Time and again I have written as a precaution for the sake of our country’s survival as a sovereign nation to take heed of the impending partition of the south and in the process the whole country.
The continuing peace talks in Kuala Lumpur which was attended by acting DND Secretary Norberto Gonzales (instead of being present at the congressional hearing on day 1) and the GRP panel could be part of the “script” which Chairman Nur Misuari himself was not in favor of holding it in Malaysia and the Malaysian government as one of the mediators. And according to some of the panelists, the MOA-AD is still part of the “talks” but with another name, and most likely next week is the signing of that “peace pact”.
Are we entering a phase in history where the government itself will give way to rape our country’s wealth and sovereignty for the contentment of a few collaborators in the name of greed and power? I hope and pray that a lapse in governance will not happen here as we gradually rise from the seemingly endless hardships both natural and man made calamities. CRISISMAS!

Copenhagen Summit : On The Road to the Dark Age

Copenhagen Summit : On The Road to the Dark Age

by Erick San Juan

This coming week, December 7-18, 2009 in Copenhagen , Denmark, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 15) the successor to the Kyoto Protocol and will be attended by 20,000 delegates from 193 nations, approximately 65 heads of government (including the Philippine President).

Amidst the climategate scandal of e-mails that hackers have revealed in the e-mail communications of "scientists" of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of East Anglia University in Great Britain , the summit will go ahead as scheduled.

In October this year, President Gloria M. Arroyo signed into law Philippine Climate Change Act of 2009 that would enable the country to better respond to disasters spawned by climate change. This law which is also known as R.A. 9729, seeks to influence climate change policy into the formulation of government agenda by setting up a National Framework Strategy and Program on Climate Change along with the creation of the Climate Change Commission that will coordinate, monitor and evaluate the government's programs and actions to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change. Like other countries riding the bandwagon of climate change, it seems that the globalists are succeeding in their effort for world governance in which depopulation is the centerpiece. Why do we say this? The following quotes from the movers of the global warming scare, will give light as to why we are caught riding the bandwagon on the road to the dark age.

The global warming alarm was initiated at the United Nations in the 1980s.The "original" goal was to use it to achieve global governance and fund it through a global carbon tax.

In 1991, Maurice Strong, a key developer of global warming scare and one of the original members of the Club of Rome came out with the report - “The First Global Revolution”, which stated : “It would seem that humans need a common motivation...either a real one or else one invented for the purpose....In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”

In that same report – “The First Global Revolution”, the concept of global governance was promoted which asserted that current problems "are essentially global and cannot be solved through individual country initiatives [which] gives a greatly enhanced importance to the United Nations and other international systems."

Also, way back in 1974, Maurice Strong gave a speech at a college in Canada at which he said: “The ethic of abundant resources must give way to the ethics of scarcity and conservation” … “Economic growth is not the cure, it is the disease” He also said: “Frankly, we may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse."

“The world has cancer and the cancer is man.” – quote from A. Gregg as the opening to Chapter 1 of the “Second Report to the Club of Rome – Mankind at the Turning Point”, 1974.

Finally, “I hope [the Club of Rome] will continue for many years to come to spell out the unpalatable facts and to unsettle the conscience of the smug and apathetic.” – Prince Philip in his message to the Delegates, 20th Anniversary Conference of the Club of Rome (in “The First Global Revolution”). Prince Phillip has also made the statement: “In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus, in order to contribute something to solve overpopulation.” in the foreword to Fleur Cowles’ “If I Were an Animal” 1987.

It is now clear that the forerunners of the global warming myth mentioned above singled out humanity as the culprit and that economic growth through industrialization should take the backseat as climate change will transform into a weapon of mass taxation, as one writer put it.

To elaborate further our point here, the Chairman of the Optimum Population Trust (OPT) of the London School of Economics said, “It’s always been obvious that total emissions depend on the number of emitters as well as their individual emissions – the carbon tonnage can’t shoot down as we want, while the population keeps shooting up.” In other words, the cheapest way to combat climate change is through family planning method of contraception. This was also featured as the main problem – the population, in Al Gore’s video, An Inconvenient Truth, which is now being lambasted as a film of very convenient lies based on questionable data.

Six months before the Copenhagen summit, World Business Summit on Climate Change (WBSCC) was held and already came out with key decisions for the December meeting. It was attended by prominent world business leaders including Al Gore and UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. The report by the WBSCC has been given to all the Copenhagen summit participants which is actually, has nothing to do about protecting the environment. Then what is the real agenda of this global sham?

“The Copenhagen Summit not only serves powerful corporate interests, which have a stake in the global multibillion dollar carbon trading scheme. It also serves to divert public attention from the devastation resulting from the "real crisis" underlying the process of economic globalization and a profit driven war without borders, which the Pentagon calls "the long war". (Michel Chossudovsky)

The multibillion dollar carbon trading scheme of the world’s financial oligarchs is the real agenda of this climate change fiasco. The large financial conglomerates, involved in derivative trade, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Barclay's, Citibank, Nomura, Société Générale, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are actively involved in carbon trading.( FACTBOX: Investment banks in carbon trading | Reuters, 14 September 2009).

A report from The Guardian also support this article, "the carbon market could become double the size of the vast oil market, according to the new breed of City players who trade greenhouse gas emissions through the EU's emissions trading scheme... The speed of that growth will depend on whether the Copenhagen summit gives a go-ahead for a low-carbon economy. But Ager says whatever happens, schemes such as the ETS will expand around the globe."

It is very real that this Copenhagen summit will lead us back to the dark age, where the tools of economic growth will be wiped out in the name of falsehood and greediness of the chosen few, who will feed on the unwilling victims’ fear of the 'unknown' – the "climate change". As panic grips humanity, no one will notice the global governance of the few as they lead us to that new world (dis)order. God forbid!

Ampatuan Massacre-A Masterpiece Unfolding

by Erick San Juan

It has been a while since our country has been put in the international limelight, may it be for good or bad. A few scores of natural disasters and a couple of world recognition cannot put down the recent one, a man-made disaster that was brutally barbaric and has put us back in world’s attention.

The massacre in Maguindanao did not happen overnight, as what some of the evidences showed so far - it was planned. But it was out of tune when some government officials said that what had happened is an isolated case and just a war between the ruling families and political in nature. A very typical statement that lacks deep understanding and analysis of the nature and magnitude of the situation.

The key players, the Ampatuans and the Mangudadatus are the ruling clans of the turf or territories they had protected for more than 20 years now. The Ampatuan's had gone as far as killing a magnitude of 57 people in one day. Worse, more than 20 mediamen were brutally murdered too that earned a lot of sympathy from different organizations here and around the world. Again, who benefits? The warring clans? One clan is already the casualty and the other will be investigated as the prime suspect and now under the custody of the NBI.

A friend analyst told me that the Maguindanao case which actually happened in Ampatuan town is not different with what had happened in Mexico ’s warring clans which was about drugs, women and turf control. Although we can never set aside the possibility that foreign hand is working overtime to achieve their goals in the region which is very rich with natural resources. That same 'unseen' hand with their local legion have mastered the details and art like what they did before the Iraq-Kuwait war and the Afghan tribal war where "machismo" is manifested. Sometimes even without thinking about the repercussion of the MAD(mutually assured destruction). In our case, the ever looming shadow of the revival of the MOA-AD which can divide the Greater ARMM into several Bangsamoro Juridical Entity- turf control by MILF and MNLF and the Jesuit-controlled basic Christian communities.

Not far from realization, this analysis, as the turn of events led to people in power who are Jesuit-trained and very influential at that. Nightmarish as it can be that the incoming US ambassador is also Jesuit-trained from Massachusetts. Can we consider this as mere coincidence? Are we going to see another Ramos Horta-Guzmao control in East Timor, in Mindanao?

I'm not saying that all Jesuits are bad but history will tell that a clique within the religious order were trained to be combatant and espoused liberation theology. The silence of the rest is perceived as approval to the politically covert action of the few.

The "script" got out of control when the 'implementor' included in their massacre, unwitting mediamen. The reported end game was for the MILF thru the Mangudadatu's controlling not only Central Mindanao but the whole of Ampatuan's controlled ARMM where the MNLF's reign.

How about our newly appointed DND chief? Did we hear any comments and strong reactions at all coming from his office? Lest we forget that he was a never loyal follower of the war on terror who pushed for the Human Security Act of 2007 or the Anti-Terror Law. Why is it that the “unconstitutional” state of emergency was implemented in Maguindanao and not the anti-terror law or the HSA 2007? It is quite clear that what happened had sown terror and fear not only in that area but the whole country which incidentally put Metro Manila in heightened alert for a possible spillover. Thanks to the immediate instruction of PGMA to DILG Sec. Ronnie Puno and the clash of civilization there was temporarily neutralized.

To all my avid readers and followers of events unfolding, we said time and again that our country is being pushed to becoming another Yugoslavia,Iraq and possibly Nigeria, balkanized and looted in the end as we continue to suffer all its consequences. Unless we and our government will do something drastic to save our land from the hands of the greedy and cracky-megalomaniacs and its globalists masters. God bless the Philippines!

What America Wants!

What America Wants!
By Erick San Juan

After the short visit of the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, it became clearer to most us as what really is the US agenda in Southeast Asia . While Sec. Clinton was here and wanted the Filipinos to believe that the US is here to help the typhoon victims, her boss, US President Barack Obama was country hopping in this region and made the historical Beijing visit. The Philippines just settled for the Secretary of State. Asia, particularly the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is the current concern of the US. China’s influence in the region is growing stronger both economically and militarily. The US government has not change it's rhetoric, that we Filipinos are the closest ally of the Americans in Asia, but it's unusual that the US president didn't visit the most loyal nation even for a day. In fact, Singapore is just a four hour trip from the Philippines.

Now that we have fully analyzed the predicament that we or this administration are in, it is very crucial to be cautious in dealing with very important issues that can affect our people now and the generations to come. I am referring to the future of Minsutpala(Mindanao-Sulu-Tawitawi-Palawan) with all its riches especially GOD(Gas,Oil and Deutherium) and the possible balkanization of our country (like Yugoslavia ). Uncle Sam needed us very badly especially in the never-ending war in the south (which was being sustained by covert operations) that will stabilize the region. (Translation – the US forces had to have their bases or a continuity of their much needed military presence there and near the China Sea).

The article of my friend, Ms. Carmen Pedrosa of the Philippine Star the other day regarding the Clinton visit further prove my point that it was all what US wants that our country must adhere to without asking our consent because we were “told” by Clinton of what they would like to see and do here. Protocol wise, we could have set and lead the discussion of the agenda instead of being told or "dictated" by the visiting diplomat. It's just like watching the latest James Bond movie, The Quantum of Solace". Our position is always at the receiving end when it comes to matters pertaining to policies that is internal in nature, but what occurred obviously was not a dialogue. Domestic problems such as sovereignty and political exercises were "ordered" by our visiting ally to be handled according to the principles of “democracy” (or is it democrazy?).

Obama said, "In an interconnected world, power does not need to be a zero-sum game, and nations need not fear the success of another. Cultivating spheres of cooperation - not competing spheres of influence - will lead to progress in the Asia-Pacific." Very well said but not in practice as we shall see the unfolding of events after the Beijing visit by President Obama which takes us a few days back on the completion of the joint "Juniper Cobra" ballistic missile defense (BMD) exercises in Israel, which was described as the largest and the most sophisticated BMD drill of its kind ever held. Hundreds of US military personnel along with US warships joined together with Israeli forces in order to fend off a wide range of simulated missile attacks”. (Peter Brown, AsiaTimes online 11/19/09). UN Peacekeeping mission coming from different nations including from the Phillipines were sent to Israel as "neutralizer".

Need we say more? As what Mr. Brown’s keen observation imply “Juniper Cobra is casting a shadow of war over Asia ”. Here, the VFA issue and the peace talks in Mindanao will fit in perfectly but unfortunately our government leaders never asserted its importance to the US to level off the playing field, so to speak.

We hope and pray, that as PGMA's legacy, her administration will play the US and China cards well in favor of the Filipinos, no more, no less – whatever America wants…

Michael Sinnot's White Lie-Black Lie!

Michael Sinnot's White Lie-Black Lie!
by Erick San Juan

When Irish priest Fr. Michael Sinnott was kidnapped last month, the government through DILG Sec. Ronnie Puno said that it was the MILF who kidnapped the 79-year old Catholic prelate with a $12 million ransom for his release. But then the MILF strongly denied this accusation. Amidst all these, the US Embassy was quiet about the meeting at the MILF camp in Maguindanao by the American diplomats led by the US Embassy charge d'affaires, Leslie Bassett, with the MILF leaders headed by Haj Murad last October 16. The report was confirmed only through the MILF’s website, Luwaran. This gesture of a US diplomat was a breach of protocol and blatant interference in our domestic affairs and should have been declared "persona non grata", but not in the Philippines.
Now that Fr. Sinnott was released in time for the arrival of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, he cleared the MILF as his abductors and said that the “original lumad” of Mindanao were his kidnappers and they treated him well during his captivity. He even thanked the MILF Central Committee for helping out for his release. What is the real story behind the release and who were the kidnappers? Was there a ransom paid? Was it really just a coincidence - the arrival of Secretary Clinton and Fr. Sinnott’s release? The kidnap for ransom of Fr. Sinnot had the same pattern of Fr. Bossi's abduction in the past where a MILF group transferred him in another safehouse controlled by the remnants of the Barracuda's allied to the so called MILF "breakaway group" in Caromatan.
There are so many questions that led to speculations as answers to the real intentions of the visit.
The controversial one is the VFA (Visiting Forces Agreement) wherein Sec. Clinton said that this is important for the US in the fight against terrorism in the region especially that the Philippines is the country coordinator in Southeast Asia. (Translation – no VFA abrogation and no clear definition as for the role of the Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines in Mindanao, even using our camps as their temporary base and will continue to support the AFP in their fight against terrorism.
Another issue is the Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain’s (MoA-AD) BangsaMoro Juridical Entity that was set aside because of its unconstitutionality that could be revived with the help of the US in its efforts for the resumption of the peace talks with MILF as front. Now that both Kuala Lumpur and Washington are interested in mediating in the peace talks, Manila will have to do a balancing act as to which country to continue the talks. This hot issue may put GMA in a very tight position for as we said this could lead to the balkanization of Mindanao. It is believed that the Marshland in Central Mindanao which the MILF claims to be in their control is awash not only of natural gas but of the "black gold" meaning vast oil deposits which is allegedly bigger than Saudi Arabia's.
Lastly, the May 2010 elections seems moving well and I’m sure will be of special concern to the US and PGMA as perceived, will have a special role to see to it that what the US wants, the US gets. But what's in it for us? Let us wait and see as events unfold. May God bless the Philippines!

Taiwan-China Relations : A Strait Too Far

Taiwan-China Relations : A Strait Too Far
By Erick San Juan
The potential for war between the two long-time rivals - a flashpoint in the region - still very much exists, as indicated in Taiwan's views of the military situation highlighted in the island's recently released defense report.
The report issued by Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense last week said the number of China's missiles targeted at the island now amount to 1,500. This is up from an estimated 800 a year or two ago. In terms of short-range missiles, there are 1,300 aimed at the island that lies just 160 kilometers (100 miles) away at the closest point. (From : “More missiles across strait” By Cindy Sui, Asia Times Online)
In this scenario, one will think that the one China policy efforts of both parties will be in vain no matter how hard they tried for the past year to bridge the gap. Although a lot were achieved through cross-strait talks like the exchange of tourists and several economic activities. But the fact remains that China’s military power is steadily intensifying and can be felt not only at the strait but in this part of the world and thus making everybody nervous. Although this should not be viewed as if Taiwan is not capable when it comes to military might. “Five months after Ma came to power, Taiwan purchased its biggest arms package from the United States since 1979,” Sun noted. (Sun Yang-ming, vice president of the Cross-Strait Interflow Prospect Foundation, a policy think-tank to the Taiwanese government.) As a whole, Taiwan’s “friendly relations” with Washington is somewhat another key factor to consider in Taiwan ’s sovereignty and the realization of the one-China dream.
It is quite obvious that China ’s military power is no match with that of Taiwan ’s but the Washington factor is that aspect that had to be considered because the American policy now will affect Taiwan ’s decision in its foreign relations especially with China .
Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou’s situation now is somewhat similar with our present administration in dealing with both US and China, and how these two giants affected the government’s policies – both foreign and economic. Our leaders must have a strong political will in the midst of conflicting ideologies and a clear objective as to where these relations will lead our country. We should take the cue from what is happening in Taiwan when it comes to military support from the US , we should avoid being shortchanged and be left behind after they got what they want.
Let us always be guided with the geostrategy games being played by the two giants in this region or we will be caught flat-footed in the end, so to speak. I’m sure the present administration will leave a legacy that she played her cards well in dealing with US and China.
As for China and Taiwan relations, it is still a “strait too far”, i.e. its unification.

Flu Hoax (Again?)

Flu Hoax (Again?)
by Erick San Juan

Flu season in the US is fast approaching (usually in late November until early March) and this could be the reason for US President Barack Obama in declaring last October 23, the “swine flu” a national emergency. As what US officials said the “president's declaration was similar to ones issued before hurricanes make landfall.” But what could be the real motive for such declaration?
Here is a part of that declaration – “given that the rapid increase in illness across the nation may overburden health care resources and that the temporary waiver of certain standard Federal requirements may be warranted in order to enable U.S. health care facilities to implement emergency operations plans, the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic in the United States constitutes a national emergency”. It seems that the intention of this statement by the US president was to sow fear by using the word "pandemic". Or is it another false flag flu operation? As what was written by Bill Sardi that this is more of “a reimbursement crisis and not a health crisis”. “The emergency declaration issued by The White House has more to do with Medicare and Medicaid regulations dealing with hospitals. With the national emergency declared, hospitals have more flexibility to set up separate or even outdoor treatment areas. The emergency appears to deal more with hospitals and their ability to get paid by federal health authorities.” (from the Sunday edition of the San Francisco Chronicle)
An article in the New York Times confirmed that federal rules do not allow hospitals to establish treatment areas more than 250 yards from emergency rooms. "Tents are 300 yards or more away, typically federal dollars won't go to pay for treatment."
So the emergency appears to be financial – making sure hospitals meet federal requirements so they can get paid by Medicaid or Medicare, rather than any true health crisis.
We also notice from a recent survey in the US that 62 percent of American adults will not avail of the flu vaccines for they don’t see any danger of the H1N1 virus and besides they don’t trust the government of its safety.
Why do we give attention to this H1N1 national emergency declaration in the US ? When I wrote about this flu hoax five months ago, I already warned our readers that this will be used as a propaganda of the globalists to reap profits out of chaos through vaccines that will slowly kill instead of cure and complicate your other sickness.. Like the myth of the war on terror, countries followed the "coalition of the willing". This time, it is a real danger if we fall for the trap of getting the flu shot through disinformation and fear mongering.
Let us all be aware of what it takes to be healthy and practice clean living. Be vigilant.....

As in the past, no stock market will make money in this wipe-out, as told by the “Wall Street Underground” in 2001. What we’re seeing now is not a cyclical economic slowdown that a stimulus from the Federal Reserve will resolve. It could lead to the greatest economic wipe out which include your real estate, jobs, savings, and your business or everything you own. Understand what’s happening to your country and the world. Countries like the Philippines have invested their mutual funds (both public & private) abroad which they thought will yield high interests for their invested funds. Out of the blue, nations wealth invested have been sucked into the Wall Street stock market black hole and in just a matter of time gone like a bubble burst. Thanks to the so called international investment advisers of our leaders, they were duped into entering hi-tech international “Ponzi” operation to get rich quick. The domino effect spared no one especially in the U.S.

The Americans invested heavily in new technologies, high-tech weaponry by its mil-industrial complex, space explorations; secretly, with the weather engineering and HAARP, trillions of dollars were spent without an assurance of (R.O.I.) return of investment. So many funds were injected to so many projects like oil and gas explorations, putting miles of fiber optic cables across the ocean and in trenches worldwide but most of the projects will never make enough money to pay the investors back. Internet companies are also losing money. Trillions of dollars has already vaporized despite the damage control of the globalists through their control of central bankers who keeps on over printing valueless money.

The “Wall Street Underground” reality check said that the stock market and the entire U.S. economy is a house of cards that is coming down. “WSU” added that America has seen this pattern over and over again, a design for the last 200 years. But the Americans and the world never learned. Stock market wipe outs happen over and over again. It happened 3 times in the late 1800’s, twice before the 1929 crash, in the 70’s and had a tremble in 1987.

We should be vigilant, know what’s coming (good or bad) and know what to do about it. As the saying goes, “greatest opportunities always come along at the time of the greatest social and economic upheavals.”

So many people are being gypped to believe a product which is actually a “lemon” but due to good PR work and a little help from friendly media make us buy, invest and feel secured. The brain-washing these days has been very effective.

Most “top guns” who prosper nowadays were not just the conservative big businessmen but scalawags and carpet baggers like Celso de Los Angeles and Bernard Madoff.

What is worrisome is that the financial media downplays or even ignores the crisis, even painting a rosy picture of the economy despite the reports and assessments coming from the Foreign Chamber experts and from IMF-WB-BIS. No one will tell you how bad it is and how fast it is spreading. Most of us are casualty because of greed.

Let’s prepare for the coming depression! Emailed information coming from the U.S. and Europe predicts a horrible October, more wars, bank holidays, the plunging dollar will be destroyed! And a possible global financial collapse. Time for vigilance!!

While cleaning my library this weekend due to typhoon Ondoy’s fury that rainwater entered some of my book shelves, I happened to get the files of the Wall Street Underground, a group of stock market analysts in the U.S. who exposed the sting operations of power brokers and carpetbaggers, due to greed has siphoned the money of unsuspecting investors. It said that America, the world’s last standing super power will inevitably fall. Just like what happened to England who used to conquer 4/5 of the world under the Union Jack. But now the British government can barely keep in control Northern Ireland. The Roman Empire extended from Britain all the way to Egypt and North Africa, and the entire Mediterranean. Now it’s gone. The Italians are still arguing over Sicily, the Greeks, the Ottoman Empire, the Mongols and the great Genghis Khan who controlled half of the world through terror, Spain was feared by the entire world and known to be the ruler of the seas. They all declined.

All these great former empires had reportedly one thing in common – TECHNOLOGY changed wiped out the advantages they had enjoyed and stole most of their wealth. This time it’s the end of the American prosperity. But the problem of America is now the problem of the world. The world’s financial system is pegged with the US dollars. The overprinting of the US money and other nation states through the “banksters” and their central banks will lead to a financial holocaust. We never learned from history. Every time there’s Wall Street collapse, war follows. All the tricks in the book will be unleashed soon. God forbid!

Disastrous Decision

Disastrous Decision
By Erick San Juan

In the middle of a very miserable situation after a huge disaster, how can anyone refuse any help at all especially when the survivors are still struggling for their second life?

Politicians, current and those seeking for office, foreign “friends” and global organizations are helping for whatever intentions they have to ease the hardships of the typhoon victims. For our government, in this helpless situation could hardly notice how countries like the US and China are quick in sending their help. As for the US government, after the death of the two US soldiers in Mindanao, massive help are pouring in - medical teams, heavy equipments, choppers, more soldiers and “financial aid”. Who invited them?

“We’ll take the lead. What we’re trying to do is to put ourselves at the disposal of the Red Cross so we tell the Red Cross what we have to bring here,” US Ambassador Kristie Kenney said.

This dire situation we are in is not helping our solons but more of creating division to the already divided legislature on the VFA issue. The “sudden death” caused by a landmine by two US soldiers made the hot VFA issue hotter and now more favorable to the US government in the wake of the massive relief operations for the typhoon victims. Favorable or not, the VFA controversy should be decided upon on the merits of how the US forces are handling the situation in Mindanao. Like the recent event on the landmine explosion, our solons valid question of why the US soldiers are in the middle of the “conflict areas”? For the nth time do we have to ask, what is the real score of the US presence in Mindanao after its ten years stay there through the VFA and no sign of development for wiping out the secessionists groups and bandits?

Again, after this natural disaster, an already hard decision on the VFA issue to abrogate or not is yet to be decided upon and we hope it will not result in a manmade disaster. Especially now that there's too much speculations going on that the death of the two US Special Forces could be part of the so called "collateral damage" to justify the so called BALKANIZATION of Mindanao.

Beyond VFA

Beyond VFA
by Erick San Juan

Almost a month ago I wrote an article about the recommendation of Sen. Miriam Santiago to the Executive Department regarding the RP-US Visiting Forces Agreement stating the need for its review. Sen. Santiago’s observation of the still strong and active insurgency groups in the south only proves that the VFA is not successful.

Now that she formally presented this concern to the Senate and was approved on second reading, and will have the final voting on Monday to formalize its final approval of the resolution, Malacanang will have to push for its abrogation if the US government will not accept the VFA’s renegotiation. Congressman Erin Tanada even advised our government to send a Termination Notice to the U.S. government. Although the Palace gave this task to the VFA Commission’s Executive Director Edilberto Adan to submit recommendations for the review of the agreement, the clamor to abrogate the "agreement" is too strong.

How could all these efforts materialize when the good US Ambassador Kristie Kenney already stated that “ Washington was happy with the VFA and there’s no need for renegotiation”? After all, the VFA is an “executive agreement and requires no ratification by the US Senate”.

What will be the consequences of this move by our leaders to save our country’s’ sovereignty when it comes to military power? Now that the US has changed course of its anti -missile strategy for Europe, the focus now is where our country is strategically located. The US ballistic missile defense (BMD) planners, for the last five years has concentrated on China (not Russia) and North Korea (not Iran ) when it comes to US policy on national security. Remember the almost “collision” of the US and China’s naval ships in Philippine waters? Do we need to spell it out that Uncle Sam badly needs the VFA to sustain its plan in this region?

This could be the biggest test for our leaders’ nationalist stand on a very critical issue that will affect the world.

Osama( bin double) Dead

Osama( bin double) Dead

by Erick San Juan

Last June of this year I wrote an article entitled “Osama: Here We Go Again!” after Osama Bin Laden aired an audio speech over Al Jazeera news in time for the Cairo visit of US President Obama.

Again, on the eve of the 8th year anniversary of the September 11 attack, a video entitled "Message to the American People," was released by the As-Sahab media branch of Al-Qaeda – and this time it was only a still picture of Osama and his voice. It is quite obvious that whoever is running the show for the Osama myth gave up showing different videos of Osama and different faces at that, as what was exposed by the documentary video Loose Change 9-11 and other similar videos showing different Osama Bin Laden.

Going back to my previous article on Osama, I reiterate OSAMA has been DEAD for so long and I am not alone in declaring this fact because like the late Benazir Bhutto, husband Pakistani Prime Minister Zardari and my colleagues from the Asia Media Forum affirmed bin Laden’s death. They are in one that Bin Laden was killed when his airconditioned underground safehouse in the mountain of Tora Bora was heavily bombed. You cannot stop propagandists like Osama from talking and being interviewed if he's still alive. Is there a new CIA unit tracking him?

I can’t believe that the director of this faked Osama video is doing this again and for what reason? Another terror plot in the offing? Could be, as what we always say, when the US economy is collapsing (as some economists predicted that the coming collapse will be next month) they will stage a war.

The idea of the looming terror plot in Jerusalem never escape my analysis because the main targets here are the two religious sites – the Dome of the Rock meaning the Muslim Golden Mosque and the Jews Wailing Wall. Our Philippine National Police warned last night that "terrorists" are now in Metro Manila. The reported possible targets according to their intelligence report are the U.S. Embassy and Plaza Miranda. Could the death of top Jemaah Islamiyah leaders like Noordin Top et al in Indonesia be the signal of a "spill over" and the real main target is the oil depots in Pandacan? God forbid!

Two China's Battle of Nerves

Two China's Battle of Nerves

By Erick San Juan

This is a follow up of the last article I wrote on the visit of the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama to Taiwan that caused so much fuss both in Taiwan and in Beijing. A lot has been said that the visit was for religious and humanitarian reasons, actually based on some recent analysis it was more of a political move that resulted to the temporary suspension of cross-strait exchanges by Beijing after the visit.

The August 26 visit of Dalai Lama brought a lot of negative reactions towards the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), saying that President Ma Ying-jeou was victimized by DPP in allowing the spiritual leader Dalai Lama in coming to Taiwan in the middle of the cross-strait exchanges. Even to the point of describing “the move of the DPP as a “political version of Pearl Harbor,” and that the KMT criticized the DPP for pulling a “political stunt.” The DPP argued that the visit wasn’t political.” (Published on Taipei Times 09/09/09 )

I would also like to share the analysis of political science professor Lo Chih-cheng of Soochow University – “the price Ma had to pay was China’s loss of trust in his leadership and credibility, he said. Beijing now realizes it cannot rely solely on Ma to court the Taiwanese public, but must bank on “other agents” as well.”

“Ma also invited criticism when he and other top government officials shunned the Dalai Lama during the visit, creating the image that Ma was a “puppet” manipulated by Beijing,” Lo said.

Taiwan’s President is now in a hot spot and had to work hard to win back Beijing’s trust and at the same time to keep the public from speculating that he is not working for Taiwan’s advantage. While Beijing had to stand with its efforts to unite with Taiwan and continue the cross-straits talks especially with the economic and financial agreements.

The Mainland China's unannounced military exercises using live ammunitions with manpower coming from their four major service commands plus the statement of Taiwan's President Ma during the visit of the European parliaments defying the one China policy which was reported by the Asia Times two weeks ago could be the reason why the 7th fleet had their presence felt in the Philippines? Just asking!

Taiwan's Ma's Change of Heart

Taiwan's Ma's Change of Heart

By Erick San Juan

The 6-day visit of exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama in Taiwan is just what Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou needed to satisfy his constituents amidst the tension with Beijing on some of his pronouncements in favor of Taiwan ’s independence. This is the third visit of the Dalai Lama, the first two were in 1997 and 2001. This was approved by Ma after he rejected the spiritual leader’s visit nine months ago saying that the timing was not right.

The six days stay of the Dalai Lama focused on giving comfort through prayers among the victims of the typhoon Morakot that hit Taiwan leaving more than 500 people dead and thousands homeless. This will somehow boost the falling approval rating of President Ma due to his perceived inefficiency in dealing with the calamity that hit Taiwan .

As for China ’s reaction to this visit according to the Xinhua news agency, China 's Taiwan Affairs Bureau said, "No matter under what form or identity Dalai uses to enter Taiwan , we resolutely oppose this.”

"Some DPP (Democratic Progressive Party) members have taken the chance to plot the Dalai Lama's visit to Taiwan ," Xinhua reported. "Obviously this is not for the sake of disaster relief. It's an attempt to sabotage the hard-earned good situation in cross-strait relations."

What China really wanted is for the unification of PRC ( China ) and ROC ( Taiwan ), and for moderate Ma, as what he promised that there will be no move to gain independence for Taiwan as long as he is the President.

What was not told in our local newspapers was the alleged statement of President Ma as reported by Asia Times recently defying the one China policy, which he told the European parliamentarians who visited Taiwan.

Is this another cross strait tensions brewing again? Will the efforts made by both states to finally implement the one China policy will go down the drain? We should be keen observers for future development in the cross strait of Taiwan and China especially the scheduled visit of President Barack Obama to Beijing in November.

Not All Americans Are "Ugly"!

Not All Americans Are "Ugly"!
by Erick San Juan
Amidst the growing military tensions in different parts of the globe, especially in this continent, the largest in the world, it is good to hear that the Filipinos are not alone in criticizing some foreign policies of the US . I am referring to the news item – America seen as “arrogant, uncaring,” says US top brass (PDI August 29, 2009) “The Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has written a searing critique of government efforts at ‘strategic communication’ with the Muslim world, saying that no amount of public relations will establish credibility if American behavior overseas is perceived as arrogant, uncaring or insulting. The critique by the chair, Adm. Mike Mullen, comes as the United States is widely believed to be losing ground in the war of ideas against extremist Islamist ideology.”
It is imperative to understand that not all Americans are "arrogant and uncaring” as described by Adm. Mullen, for he, a man with conscience, took the signal that the US must change its foreign policy as not to be perceived as what he described in dealing with the extremist Islamist ideology. As an ally in the “war on terror” and the decades-long fight for peace in the south, different administrations always turn to the Americans for assistance and as a result our nation is divided, like the burning issue on the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).
As a sovereign nation, we have to gather our act together and specify to our friend, the American government, the need for more transparency on their part in dealing with the problem we have with the secessionist groups in the south. So as not to raise speculations that we are being led to a war that we ourselves will regret in the end. As what Billy Esposo kept reminding us that our country could be the “ground zero” for the future unrestricted war.
